The aim of the course is to help students explore through a dynamic global geography framework that the global processes which bind the worlds together also make places different. This global geography framework does not only cover new ideas, concepts, and theories that address historical global changes over time but also the fundamentals of geography: the principles, concepts, theoretical frameworks, and basic knowledge that are necessary to build a geographic understanding of today’s world. After having completed this course, students should be able to think globally, while appreciate geographic diversity and cultural differences. A further aim of this course is to provide students with the most essential vocabulary which they need to discuss topics related to various aspects of globalization.
